Bar Membership Renewal

Each member of the bar of this Court shall renew his or her bar registration between June 1 and August 31 of every second year (“Registration Renewal Period”), beginning with the year 2024. Bar registrations must be renewed even if an attorney has been a member for only a portion of the 2 years preceding the Registration Renewal Period. See LR Gen 203(c).

The 2024 Bar Registration Renewal Period will open on June 1, 2024.  Members of the bar seeking to maintain an active bar status should renew their bar registration electronically using the Court's Case Management/Electronic Case Files ("CM/ECF") system.  Instructions for completing the bar membership renewal process electronically will be available soon.  For this renewal period, there is a $30.00 fee to renew your bar registration, and a requirement to complete an attorney demographic survey.  You may view the survey via the hyperlink below.  Once you have renewed your bar membership and it has been processed by the Court, you will receive a confirmation email.  If you fail to renew your bar membership during this period, your membership will automatically be moved to inactive status at the close of the renewal period.  Additionally, your CM/ECF filing account will be deactivated, and if you presently appear in pending cases before this Court, you run the risk of having your appearance withdrawn.  Please note that an attorney who has ceased to be a member of the bar of this Court must apply for reinstatement and remit the applicable reinstatement fees.  See LR Gen 215(a).
