
Amy E. Moses was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge on May 13, 2025. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctor, with honors, from the George Washington University School of Law, where she served as the Student Director of the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics.
Prior to her appointment to the federal bench, Judge Moses held the positions of General Counsel at Utilidata, Inc., Vice President and Rhode Island Director of Conservation Law Foundation, and Deputy Counsel to Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo. She spent several years litigating at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, LLP. Judge Moses served as a law clerk for the Honorable William E. Smith and later for the Honorable John J. McConnell, Jr., both of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. She began her legal career in the Rhode Island Supreme Court Law Clerk Department.
