The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island has established the Federal Court/Bar Access to Justice Initiative ("Initiative") to strengthen and expand legal support for self-represented civil litigants. Through this Initiative, the Court partners with both individual attorneys and participating law firms to provide high-quality pro bono representation to those who would otherwise navigate the federal court system alone.
By integrating law firms into the Court’s Pro Bono Panel for the first time, the initiative enhances the scope of available resources and reinforces the legal community’s shared commitment to ensuring fair and meaningful access to justice. The Court is grateful to the dedicated attorneys and firms who volunteer their time, expertise, and advocacy in support of this important mission.
