The U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island will be closed on Thursday, January 9^th in observance of the National Day of Mourning in memory of former President James Earl Carter, Jr. 

The Court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files ("CM/ECF") system will be available to accept filings, and non-electronic filers may email filings in PDF form to RID_ECF_Intake@rid.uscourts.gov. Any filings received via the ECF Intake mailbox will be docketed as of the date of receipt. In case of a litigation-related emergency during this period, please call (401) 752-7099 and leave a message that includes your name, a phone number where you can be reached, and the nature of your emergency.
