Court seeks litigators to serve on Court Advisory Council

Tuesday, November 15, 2022

The Court will establish an Advisory Council that will be comprised of 15-20 litigators in the federal court for the purposes of helping the Court to effectively and efficiently administer justice.  The Court has decided to restructure our committee structure into a single Council that will serve as a vehicle for litigators to have input into court administration, and as a vehicle for the Court to hear from the Bar.  Responsibilities previously held by the Local Rules Committee, the District Conference, the Bench/Bar Committee, the Board of Bar Admissions and Education will now fall under the purview of the Advisory Council with subcommittees of the Council working on specific areas.  Please see the attached Council description for detailed information.  Attorneys interested in serving should complete the Advisory Council Interest Form by no later than December 15, 2022. The online form can be found here: APPLICATION OF INTEREST FOR COURT ADVISORY COUNCIL.  The Court encourages attorneys from diverse backgrounds and practices to apply.
