The current terms of United States Magistrate Judge Lincoln D. Almond and United States Magistrate Judge Patricia A. Sullivan are due to expire on September 9, 2020, and September 30, 2020, respectively.

As required by law, the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island has established a Merit Selection Panel to consider the reappointment of United States Magistrate Judge Lincoln D. Almond and United States Magistrate Judge Patricia A. Sullivan to an eight (8) year term.  

Comments from members of the bar and the public may be submitted as to whether the incumbent magistrate judges should be recommended by the Panel for reappointment by the Court no later than February 6, 2020, and should be submitted by e-mail to Merit_Panel@rid.uscourts.gov, or to the following address:
