Commemorating 160 Years of the 13th Amendment

This year marks the 160th anniversary of the ratification of the landmark 13th Amendment – a defining moment in U.S. constitutional history that officially abolished slavery and reshaped the law; an Amendment that continues to resonate in our courts today.

Join us on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Salve Regina University for a special educational event bringing together judges, attorneys, law clerks, legal scholars, law students, and members of the public.

This engaging full-day program will feature an interactive agenda with world-renowned constitutional scholars, legal historians, and judicial officers, along with thought-provoking panel discussions exploring the Amendment’s enduring impact on our judicial system and the ongoing pursuit of racial justice in America.  Registration details to follow – stay tuned!  Please see attached for more details.
